its soabsurd.. you tell the customer service reps about xm 72 …and they try to spin it off .they could care less….problem i have is i have no other alternative in car radio .so i guess i ,ll put up with this

Ha, ok, fusion for RIGHT WINGERS and white people. Thats a new one. I have never heard that before….I love fusion music, so I guess that automatically makes me a white, right winger. Ha….Cant politics stay out of everything. It does nothing but screw everything up….

I got hooked on BeyondJazz while commuting in rental cars to work. I can’t believe it is gone.
I went through withdrawal symtoms. BeyondJazz is the best program I have ever heard. I was just about ready to sign up with XM when they took our program away. I wish they could get linked into AOL music or Winamp stations. At least we can still stream Jazz from the very few remaining stations.

I was informed by an “insider” at XM that the decision to drop fusion music from ch 62 was a political decision. Evidently Wynton and his compadres at XM somehow confused fusion music with white people and right wing politics and convinced programmers there to drop the program. No evidence; just talk around the water cooler from an insider.

I originally had Sirius and listen to Planet
Jazz 70. When that was dropped I switched 2 units over to XM72. That’s pretty much all I use to listen to. As soon as Beyond Jazz was droppped
I dumped 2 XM units and 1 Sirius unit. They don’t play what I don’t all ready own. No point in keeping Satelite Radio for me. I have 1 Sirius unit left my wife listens to. Soon I’ll be able to dump it also.

So, I lost XM for a couple months while swapping cars and waiting for a new antenna and when I came back, poof!!! XM72 was gone! I guess modern jazz lovers are a dying breed! If you can’t get a channel like XM72 on Sirius XM, where they have they dedicated channels to single bands/performers (e.g. grateful dead, springsteen, sinatra, etc), then you know you must be in a highly esoteric genre of very limited general appeal. I guess we are just dodo’s….

I am canceling my subscription today!

I called XM a couple weeks ago and canceled my subscription. I listened to Beyond Jazz almost exclusively. These corporate guys are morons. So much for decent diversity on satellite…..

I too was disgusted and angered when I started my car and found Beyond Jazz gone. I have also called and emailled several times and received the same ol’ “Try Watercolor” rap. I advised them that if I wanted to hear Kenny Gee I’d get on an elavator. I have advised XM not to renew my subscription. Beyond Jazz was 90 % of the reason that I signed up after the 90 day trial with my new. I am sick and tired of contemporary jazz being ignored and trampled on. Certainly it is an entrepenurial opprotunity for someone out there.
