My station has two feeds: a free feed with advertisements that can handle 20 simultaneous listeners and a VIP feed. The VIP feed has several advantages: no ads; you can listen even if the free feed cap is reached; there are more ways to listen (TiVo, mobile); it supports the station (a portion of the subscription fee goes back to the broadcaster).
